PHPDA is honored to announce $4 million in funding through the Health Equity Fund to support community partners working to improve healthcare access and outcomes across King County.
For the 2026 Major Grant program, the Health Equity Fund introduced three new funding priorities:
Gender Affirming Care and/or HIV Prevention and Care for LGBTQIA2S+ Communities
Barrier Reducing Healthcare Delivery for Immigrant and Refugee Populations that is Responsive to Community Concerns
Access to Birth Control and Abortion Care
Our new grant partners are leading innovative, community-driven work across these priority areas. PHPDA is honored to support these organizations as we work together toward a healthier, more equitable King County.
The following organizations are among the Health Equity Fund’s 2026 Major Grant partners. They received awards ranging from $50,000 to $200,000 for projects beginning July 1, 2026.
- Cedar River Clinics: Abortion Care Services
- Mission Africa: Global Communities Health Access Initiative:
- Somali Health Board: Expanding Mental Health Services for the Somali Community in King County
- University of Washington: UW Medicine Gender Affirming Care for LGBTQIA2S+ Communities
- We Are Comunidad: Removing Fear Based Barriers to Safe Healthcare: Immigrant-Led Advocacy in Rural King County
