Announcing a change at PHPDA

Dear Friends, Partners and Colleagues of PHPDA,

It’s amazing what can be accomplished in three and a half years.
With John Kim at our helm, PHPDA has focused its perspective in a way that has strengthened and deepened our vision for health equity. We are now more of a learning organization that listens deeply to community—and leverages that learning into support for the systems changes
that can eliminate structural racism and associated health disparities. Our relationships are stronger, our impact is deepening.

In June, John will continue championing health equity as the new CEO of HealthierHere. We are grateful for his passion and commitment, and all he’s done to unify and strengthen PHPDA’s staff, Governing Council, and community of grantees. As a result, the next director will have an incredible opportunity to accelerate our role and work as a partner in addressing health inequities.

Our adept staff and the stability of this organization mean a smooth transition as we launch a search in the coming months for a new health equity champion to lead PHPDA. We’ll keep everyone informed of our progress along the way.

The Governing Council thanks John for his extraordinary leadership and wishes him the best in his new role. We look forward to celebrating John further before he departs, and partnering with him in the future.
