MEETING AGENDA

(Times are approximate & some sections are TBD)

Major Grantee Presentations Due by Wednesday, November 12th. Please refer to the FAQs section below for more information.

Connect with friends and colleagues

The 12th annual gathering of PHPDA Health Equity Fund Major Grantees offers a chance to connect with the broader community working together to make our region healthier and more equitable.

Be free to share your challenges

We endeavor to create a safe space for all attendees. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment free of judgment or consequence, a space in which all attendees feel they belong and can actively participate. That’s why this is an invite only event. In addition to grantees, we invite only our closest partners who are champions of your work, which includes our Governing Council Members, Strategic Advisors, and Consultants/Event Sponsors. We know how hard—and sometimes how sensitive—your work is. We invite you to treat this space with utmost respect, and be courageous to share both the challenges you have faced and wins you have achieved.

Learn together

Sharing knowledge supports all of us in our work towards systemic change. Every year grantees have the opportunity to share the details of their funded efforts, as well as insights into what works and what doesn’t.

Topical Peer Networking Discussions (TBD)

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I required to attend?

Each grantee must send at least one (1) representative, with space available for up to two (2) representatives per organization. All Major Grantees are required to attend in person and briefly present about their funded program; please refer to the meeting agenda for your approximate presentation time.

What am I expected to share about my program?

Each grantee will have five (5) minutes to present on their funded program, with the option to use up to five (5) slides including title and thank you/closing slides.

To maximize your time, please focus on your program rather than your organization. Include a brief description of your organization, an overview of the funded program and its goals, and key insights on what you are learning, addressing the following relevant questions:

  • 2025 New Major Grantees (1st Year): What access to care are you aiming to create through your program, and for whom? What health outcomes do you hope to achieve?
  • 2024 Renewal Grantees (2nd Year): What did you learn from your first year? What challenges did you encounter, and what adjustments are you making as a result?
  • 2023 Renewal Grantees (3rd Year): What were your key learnings over the past three years? What are your plans moving forward based on those learnings?

If you plan to use slides or display materials, email your file by end of day Wednesday, November 12th to Whitney Regan at w.regan@phpda.org.

Refer to the meeting agenda for your approximate presentation time.

Can I use slides for my presentation?

You may use up to five (5) slides (PDF, PPT, Canva, or Google Slides), or you can choose not to use any slides at all. Please limit your presentation to five (5) slides total, including title and closing slides.

If you plan to use slides, please email your slides to Whitney Regan at w.regan@phpda.org by end of day Wednesday, November 12th. She will compile all the slides into a single slide deck to ensure smooth transitions during the presentations.

Can I show a video as part of my presentation?

Yes, just make sure that your total presentation time does not exceed five (5) minutes.

If your presentation will include a video, please send it in advance by end of day Wednesday, November 12th to Whitney Regan at w.regan@phpda.org.

Is it okay for me to attend only part of the meeting?

We encourage you to attend the entire day to fully engage with your colleagues’ work. You might discover new partnership opportunities or innovative approaches that can enhance your own work. Understanding what is happening in the field strengthens all our efforts. If you need to leave early, please let us know so we can adjust the agenda accordingly.

Will there be opportunities to share more about my organization with attendees?

There will be informal networking opportunities between agenda items and at lunch. We also encourage you to bring materials about your organization, its programs, and potential board recruitment information to share with the group. We will have a table available for this purpose.

What should I do if I have COVID-19 or am feeling unwell?

Please take precautions to ensure everyone’s safety. If you are feeling unwell before or during the meeting, we ask that you do not attend. In that case, please inform us right away so we can arrange for an alternative representative to attend or provide a virtual attendance option.
  • Masks are welcome and will be available at the entrance of the Panoramic Room.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 within a few days after the meeting, please notify Whitney Regan at w.regan@phpda.org so we can inform all attendees. Thank you for helping us keep each other safe!

Parking? Transit?

Free parking will be available in the West Garage next to the Pacific Tower but might be limited. We encourage using public transit or carpooling if you plan on driving.

Driving Directions & Parking at Pacific Tower

The 36 and 60 buses stop right by the Tower. Additional transit options are available in the International District and Beacon Hill. For more details, visit: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps.

Will there be photography or videography of the event?

PHPDA Staff will be taking photos throughout the event and you will have the opportunity to tell us if you prefer not to be included in photos. We will not be videotaping any portion of the event.

If I have more questions, how can I get in touch?

Please email Whitney Regan at w.regan@phpda.org or grants@phpda.org and we will be in touch.
