“When you hear it, you breath it.”

PHPDA hosted an educational event focused around the impacts aviation has on the health of those living in Beacon Hill and South King County. Locals gathered virtually to discuss noise and air pollution, climate change, and how it impacts each of us at an individual level – and ultimately discussed as a group what we can and should do about this health disparity localized predominately around airport communities.

Our distinguished expert speaking panel contributed valuable knowledge and relevant data, helping the problem and potential solutions make more sense.

By raising our voices and raising awareness, we’re starting to create more community space and partnering with more allies to tackle common problems that affect us all, especially those most under-served. Like many other health equity issues, this noise and air problem is a complex, multi-layered conversation requiring more momentum.
